For $21, this electric helicopter is outstanding. The construction is perfect. The gyro makes it fly smooth and hover accurately. 3 channels means you can’t pitch the heli side to side, only forward and backward. Actually, this makes it easier to fly because it reduces the complexity of controls.
The size of components is amazingly small. I still can’t get over the size of the electric motors. You get about 6 minutes of flight time out of a 50 minute charge using the USB charging cable.
is that an airhogs brand?
@fred
This is syma branded, not airhog.
My impression is that the airhog is of lesser quality.
I seriously doubt there is another helicopter of this size and price that can come close to its material and build quality.
Where did you buy it? Anywhere you can recommend? Thanks
I got mine through Amazon on sale just before Christmas for $21.
s0107 this is a excellent helicopter bought for my son loves it .

Could anyone help me with a defect in a new S107G? From the box, the rear rotor blades do not turn. I am assuming it is a wiring problem, but that isn’t my area of expertise. Any suggestions for a fix, or should I just return it? Thanks.
Jim
I got one of these a couple of months ago for my 90-year old father-in-law to play with. He’s had a lot of fun with it and so has almost everyone who has come to visit him. It was only about $25 from Amazon with free shipping. I’ll be buying a lot more for Christmas and birthday gifts.
I’ve been amazed at how durable it’s been. I bought a spare set of blades for about $5 but they haven’t been needed yet even the thing has been crashed and flown in obstacles numerous times. For another $5 you can also get a wall charger for the copter. It’ll charge quicker and save the batteries in the controller.
Alan is absolutely right about its build quality. It’s very well made and has lots of high quality metal parts in it. I don’t see how the manufacturer could be making much money, even if it’s made in China.
FYI, this copter is not radio controlled. It uses infrared like a TV remote. That means you can’t fly it outside in the daylight or near a sunny window.
Great feedback Rob, The fact that it is IR explains the occasional loss of signal during flight. Then she falls quickly to the ground. Not a serious problem but it does happen from time to time. It’s nice that you can flight 2 at the same time. Just sync each controller and heli 1 at a time.
