An opportunity to practice my amateur machinist skills. I needed to machine a 1 inch hole in a block of aluminum to make this silly crushing machine.
The origin of this idea came from the desire to crush some hot wheels cars. In an earlier post, I created a hot wheels track for the office. It was a big success in my office and we race cars often. However, some cars are such poor performers that I felt a need to destroy them. Hence, this crushing machine.
If you enjoy camping, especially in Michigan, then this is a video you can relate to. Enjoy.
The 2 things I am starting to learn as a videographer…. shoot lots of footage from many interesting angles, then… don’t hesitate to let go of most of it on the cutting room floor. Approximately 10.3 hours of footage shot. Edited down to 3 minutes 18 seconds. This is an extreme case though. Usually I will shoot 30 minutes of total footage in several minute segments.
I work in an office with a bunch of gear heads. What better way to fuel our collective passion than to build a Hot Wheels Track on our wall. Let the races begin!
